The 5/8” thick DensDeck StormX gypsum cover board is FM Very Severe Hail (VSH) approved and adheres to a JM TPO 60 mil smooth back membrane. Johns Manville is proud to announce this product, which provides hail and fire protection, moisture resistance and dimensional stability. This is also the only gypsum cover board to achieve FM VSH approval alongside having a 60 mil TPO membrane. These achievements result in a cost effective, high performing membrane solution that resists extreme hail.
Installation and specification
Installation of DensDeck StormX Prime Roof Board follows the same familiar guidelines as DensDeck Prime Roof Boards. Installation for compliance with VSH rated assemblies include 48″x48″ DensDeck StormX Prime Roof Board adhered in 12″ on center ribbons of 2PUIA or RSUA low rise foam adhesive with and adhered 60 mil JM TPO membrane. DensDeck StormX Prime Roof Board is eligible to be included in the JM Peak Advantage® Guarantee.
