National Roofing Contractors Association Releases 2020 Manual Volume and Boxed Set

NRCA Manual Volume and Boxed Set
March 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

The new volume updates the 2016 volume under the same title and serves as a reference for contractors, architects and roof consultants.

To provide the roofing industry with the most comprehensive information about the metal panel and spray polyurethane foam roof systems used in low- and steep-slope applications, the National Roofing Contractors Association has released The NRCA Roofing Manual: Metal Panel and SPF Roof Systems— 2020.

The manual consists of two sections—Metal Panel Roof Systems and SPF Roof Systems. The Metal Panel Roof Systems section includes guidelines applicable to metal and metal panel roof systems, substrates, architectural metal panel systems and structural metal panel roof systems in addition to 84 construction details. The SPF Roof Systems section includes information about materials, design considerations, application and design guidelines, as well as 72 construction details, including SPF details for reroofing and roof systems with fleece-backed membranes. New appendixes address code requirements specific to metal panel and SPF roof systems.

The NRCA Roofing Manual: Metal Panel and SPF Roof Systems—2020 is best used with the other volumes of The NRCA Roofing Manual: The NRCA Roofing Manual: Membrane Roof Systems—2019; The NRCA Roofing Manual: Architectural Metal Flashing and Condensation and Air Leakage Control—2018; and The NRCA Roofing Manual: Steep-slope Roof Systems—2017.

The 2020 volume and boxed set can be purchased in hardbound versions or downloaded for free in electronic format for NRCA members at nrca.net/manuals.

Since 1886, the National Roofing Contractors Association has been the home for generations of entrepreneurial craftsmen and enterprises who shelter and protect America's families and businesses and each other. Our vision is the recognition of our members as professionals and to unite the industry to that purpose. NRCA is one of the construction industry's most respected trade associations and the voice of roofing professionals and leading authority in the roofing industry for information, education, technology and advocacy. It represents all segments of the roofing industry, including contractors; manufacturers; distributors; architects; consultants; engineers; building owners; and city, state and government agencies.
