Nail your niche and improve your roofing business

Beacon Nail your niche and improve your roofing business

By Dani Sheehan.

Make sure customers choose your company when searching for roofing solutions by distinguishing your brand in the industry.

Standing out from the competition can be a challenge. You’d love to be able to offer the lowest prices or complete the project the fastest, but realistically this won’t keep your company in business in the long term. So, how do you stand out among the rest? According to a blog article from Beacon Building Products, you need to find your unique selling proposition. Put simply, your unique selling proposition is how you distinguish your brand, your company’s personality, the book cover that steals your attention and leaves you reaching to learn more.

Beacon offers key strategies to identify and help you leverage your unique selling proposition:

  • Embrace your strengths: What are the skills and capabilities of your crew? If the craftsmanship for one roofing material is stronger than others, simplify your offerings and specialize in that material. Focus on what you do best, offer competitive pricing for that service and partner with your roofing distributor on material ordering.
  • Create a picture of your business: Create a more personal and relatable image of your company by featuring your crew and your most successful projects. Customers tend to trust businesses more when they see a familiar face or know they will be dealing with a specific person. You can build greater trust and reduce customer anxiety this way.

Implementing these strategies can take time, and often you can’t overhaul your brand and marketing efforts overnight. Leverage your customers to help you get started – they'll be happy to do it! If you have a successful project with satisfied customers, encourage them to leave positive reviews online or provide testimonials to add to your website. You can also increase your activity on social media to influence your company’s personality and build credibility as potential customers search for roofing solutions.

Read the full article to learn more about creating your brand and ensure customers choose you for their roofing needs.
