Mosey down to Texas for the 2025 NWIR Days!

NWIR Mosey down to Texas for the 2025 NWIR Days!
December 13, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

By Emma Peterson.

Grab your hat and your boots because you don’t want to miss NWIR’s annual conference this February.

The National Women in Roofing (NWIR) is hosting the premier networking and educational event for women in the roofing industry in San Antonio, Texas this February 16-17, 2025. This conference is a great space for female-identifying professionals in the industry to come together to hone leadership skills, learn new business tactics and make new industry connections.

All events and functions for NWIR Days 2025 will be at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Riverwalk and this will also be the hotel block for attendees. Anna Anderson, the 2024 NWIR chair shared, “We are incredibly excited about NWIR Days 2025. For the first time, we have our own dedicated venue at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Riverwalk. We understand that having space dedicated to the event will foster stronger relationships and meaningful conversations.” The rate is $275 USD per night and also includes the dates of International Roofing Expo (IRE) for those who are interested. You can book your reservation online!

The first day of NWIR Days will feature a lot of networking opportunities to help everyone get comfortable. Katie Bodiford, NWIR executive director explained, “We've adjusted our format to where the optional events such as yoga and book club are now on the front end. We've even added a ticketed Dinner at the Caverns event Sunday night as well.” For those interested in some of these unique networking events, there are a few things to note:

Day one Book Club and Yoga

  • There is a $25 registration fee for this event, separate from registration for NWIR Days.

  • The book club selection is “Improvisation for the Spirit” by Katie Goodman, who is also the keynote session (see more information on this later!).

Dinner at the Caverns

  • This event takes participants to the Natural Bridge Caverns, which is about 50 miles from downtown San Antonio. Participants will get to take a tour of this natural wonder that was discovered in the 1960s by local cavers.

  • There is about 1/2 mile walk with stairs and steep ramps. Comfortable shoes are encouraged, especially as the natural condensation can make paths slippery. Bus transportation is included.

  • There is a limit of 200 participants for this event.

  • This event has a $50 registration fee that is not included in your NWIR Days registration.

  • The time in the caverns will be closed by a buffet dinner in the Hidden Wonders Ballroom (the deepest event venue in the state)

The second day is full of networking and educational opportunities. It will start with the kickoff session from Katie Goodman. The keynote is called “Improv for the Spirit: How to Focus on Leading a Courageous and Spontaneous Life” and Katie will be sharing her tips on working in spite of your inner critic, fears and creative blocks. A comedian and writer, Katie’s presentation is sure to be equally witty and encouraging as she shares how improv comedy skills can help you navigate your everyday life and overcome roadblocks.

You do not want to miss this amazing conference, register for NWIR Days 2025 today!
