MFM Building Materials Announces New IB-3™ StormStopper Plus

IB-3™ StormStopper Plus is a new self-adhering underlayment with an advanced adhesive system.

MFM offers a wide range of quality products, from low-slope roofing membranes and steep-slope underlayments to roof flashing products. MFM’s product range has expanded recently to include their latest product, the IB-3™ StormStopper Plus.  

About the product 

MFM is proud to introduce IB-3 StormStopper Plus, a self-adhering, 50-mil granule surfaced underlayment with an advanced adhesive system to aggressively adhere to roofing substrates. The product was developed for the Florida marketplace without the need to prime the roof deck prior to application. However, the product is suitable for all markets where an improved adhesion to the roof deck is desired. 

IB-3 StormStopper Plus features a non-removable sealing edge for a secure seal on overlaps for whole roof waterproofing protection. A granular top surface provides excellent foot traction. The product also comes with a split-release liner for ease of installation. The roll size is 36” x 65’ (1.95 square feet) and comes packaged in a durable carton for added protection prior to installation. 

Product approvals 

IB-3 StormStopper Plus meets the criteria of a Fortified Building Program product, as it complies with ASTM D 1970, and has Florida Building Code FL# 41919.1 approval.
