Mental Health Nonprofit Gifted New Roof

RCS Mental Health Nonprofit
March 19, 2023 at 6:00 a.m.

By Anna Lockhart.

Each year, DryHome Roofing and Siding gives away a free roof. This year, that roof went to a very special group.

DryHome Roofing and Siding has been participating in an annual free roof holiday program for the last twenty years, where they give a free roof to homeowners or charities. For its twentieth year, DryHome donated a free roof to Pathway Homes.

Founded in 1980, Pathway Homes provides housing and support services to over 1,500 individuals in the North Virgina and Washington, D.C. area with mental illnesses or disabilities. The nonprofit group was originally founded by individuals who sought better care and treatment for their loved ones who needed mental health services. Decades later, they’re still offering help to those in need.

Pathway Homes CEO Sylisa Lambert-Woodard told LoudounNow reporters, “We are grateful for DryHome’s generosity and leadership. For our clients who have struggled to keep a roof over their heads, the meaning of having a new one is not lost on them or us. DryHome’s donation frees up resources so we are able to invest more into services that can help those we serve to continue rebuilding their lives.”

DryHome gave new life to one of the Pathway homes located in Fairfax County, Virginia and hopes that the nonprofit continues to provide support to their community and its residents through their homes.

“Pathway Homes is an outstanding nonprofit that provides homes and mental health services to many people in our Northern Virginia community,” DryHome CEO Steve Gotschi stated.

DryHome Roofing and Siding has provided over twenty roofs valued at more than $200,000 over the last two decades, and they hope to continue the tradition of gifting new roofs for years to come.
