Digging Deep: Waterproofing Deep Foundations for New Construction | Saturday, March 4 from 9:45 a.m.–10:45 a.m.

Q: What can attendees look forward to learning from you/in your session? 

A: We’ll cover the fundamentals of designing and selecting waterproofing systems for deep foundations, which is the first part of the building to receive waterproofing during construction, and arguably the trickiest! There will also be project case studies sharing lessons from the field. 

Q: What are you most looking forward to at this year’s convention?  

A: All of it! It’ll be my first time attending the convention so I’m looking forward to the learning sessions, trade show, and meeting new people in the industry.  

Q: What’s your all-time favorite snack?  

A: Boom Chicka Pop kettle corn. It’s so addictive!

There’s a Lot of Hot Air in Consulting | Monday, March 6 from 1:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.  

Q: What’s It All About? What can attendees look forward to learning from you/in your session? 

A: Darbi Krumpos and I were really inspired by the student members and emerging professionals we met last year. We sat at lunch and brainstormed how to make the convention content more accessible for these emerging minds. And the idea for our session was born. We're looking forward to connecting seasoned professionals with this emerging talent as they learn the fundamentals of building enclosure consulting.  

Q: What are you most looking forward to at this year’s Convention? 

A: Connecting face-to-face with those I truly respect in the industry and bringing my team together in person for the first time! Building and roofing sciences has significantly grown and we're all scattered across the country. What better reason to gather in person than at IIBEC where we will be submerged in the best technical education and surrounded by the best and brightest minds in the industry!  

Q: What’s your all-time favorite snack? 

A: Popcorn. It's simply a vehicle for salt and butter and ever so delicious! 

Q: If you could be one emoji, what would you be? 

A: Gratitude! There are a few that apply...so depends on the who and the why...
