Knovi SmartDrain to be Featured at IIBEC

Tremco will be exhibiting and showcasing the Knovi™ SmartDrain™ at the 2020 International Institute of Building Envelope Consultants annual event and trade show.

Building Envelope Consultants attend IIBEC’s premier annual event to attend the over 25 hours of educational seminars, see live product demonstrations, and attend the two‐day trade show with over 140 exhibitors to learn about the latest technologies.

One of the most innovative technologies will be featured in Tremco’s booth, #235 at the 2020 IIBEC Convention March 26 – 31, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Attached to rooftop drains, SmartDrain sensors are activated when they detect rising water levels, sending automatic alerts through the SmartGateway™ to notify facility managers before major problems can develop.

Monitoring occurs around the clock: SmartGateway software ensures constant wireless communication between a facility manager and all the SmartDrain sensors on a roof, sending alerts and updates to mobile devices or PCs to keep the manager informed of potential issues in real time.

Most building owners don’t think about what is happening on their roof and won’t have any idea if the drains were clogged – not until they experience a leak. Knowing when a drain is clogged is critical to preventing water damage and infiltration.  The Knovi SmartDrain takes it one step further by telling the building manager exactly which drain is experiencing rising water.  This saves valuable time by eliminating the need to check every drain.
