Stories about people are always interesting to the readers here at RoofersCoffeeShop and that proved to be the case once again as we took a look at our most-read stories from the month of June. Coming in a number 5 was an article about a contractor celebrating 30 years in the industry and how their philosophy of ‘giving to grow’ has been instrumental in the success of the business.
Insurance is always on a business owners mind. There are so many things that you need to insure your business against, and it can be confusing to understand everything. Plus, how can you be sure that you are carrying the right insurance and getting the best bang for your buck. The number 4 article last month was provided by insurance expert Shelly DuHaime at NFP on the concept of Captives and how contractors can turn a top line expense into a top line profit. You’ll want to be sure to read that article.
Projects are always a hit on the Coffee Shop. We love to showcase contractors’ work and reading about the project for the roof at the new Texas Rangers Stadium and how the contractor was incorporating safety as a top priority was very interesting and not surprisingly our third most-popular story.
Our friends at the Metal Roofing Alliance came in second place, drawing a lot of interest with the project showcasing how a Texas homeowner, tired of hail damage, was able to choose a stylish metal roof for greater durability.
Our most popular article for the month was about attracting the future workforce. A college in Texas implemented a roofing certificate program that allows participants to earn their OSHA 30 certification while learning how to install metal roof systems.
