In an episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Danny Braught of LMH Agency (Lokal Media House) to talk about the significance of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into business operations. The conversation highlighted how AI, when used effectively, can drive efficiency and innovation across industries.
The roofing industry, like many others, is witnessing the impact of AI advancements. According to Danny, AI is influencing the sector in several ways: “One is through the different tools of using drones mixed with artificial intelligence, when it comes to being able to do measurements of houses. There's also the side of ChatGPT and some of the marketing aspect of it as well.”
Danny also talked about the practical benefits of AI, sharing that he has a library of prompts businesses can use to generate ideas. These tools assist in creating sales plans, marketing strategies, brochures and other materials. By using AI, users can save significant time and refine their content. It serves as a tool to make tasks easier and more efficient, not as a replacement for people. No matter how smart it becomes, AI still lacks one essential element: human creativity.
Danny said, “AI needs the person and the creativity behind it.” While AI technology is highly intelligent, it relies on human input to guide its functionality. This collaboration ensures that AI complements rather than replaces human efforts. He adds that certain skills, such as emotional intelligence and creativity remain irreplaceable, “[AI] is never going to be able to replace soft skills. The emotion and the things that go behind it, it's going to be very hard for it to get to the point where it's able to replace any soft skills.”
