How to Build a Foundational Tech Stack

Leap Foundational Tech Stack
January 8, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

By Cass Jacoby.

Growing your business is easy when you have a strong foundation of technology to pay attention to the details. Read on to learn about how Leap and JobProgress are uniting to cover all your bases.

In Season 4, Episode 78 of the Roofing Road Trips Podcast, Heidi J. Ellsworth sits down with CEO of Leap, Patrick Fingles, to discuss their recent acquisition of JobProgress. This dynamic pairing of productivity management software is making it easy for businesses to grow.

“JobProgress, at its core, is a really awesome production software. Leap is a really awesome sales software,” says Patrick. “We help you sell the job. We help you produce the job. Now, we want to help you market. We want you to get more leads. We have these two boxes checked, so where do we fan out and go from there because ultimately, we want to help you with your business from start to finish.”

Patrick tells Heidi that JobProgress is a product that can cover you with a basic functionality from start to finish of your business, so that you can manage a lead into the system, a sales process, a production process and more. From this foundation, you can grow your business and functionality according to your own needs.

“The lifeblood of a successful business is a strong technology stack,” says Patrick. “If you're using it properly, it's going to drive revenue to the bottom line. It's going to drive efficiencies, customer service, whatever the KPIs you want to measure. It's going to be easier to onboard, stand your people up faster, quicker training,  higher retention, better customer service.”

These systems are doing more than helping drive your bottom line, they are benefiting nearly every aspect of your business while making the job itself easier. With technology based on industry input, it is much easier to allow the tech to do the heavy lifting with paperwork while you can focus on actually scaling your business.

“Be curious, know what the market's doing, and take an hour out of your day to check it out,” says Patrick. “Understand what your pain is and try to connect that pain back to that thing that you're checking out. And if it makes sense, then you implement it, and it'll be beautiful.”
