Understanding and incorporating technology is key to running a successful business in today’s digital world. Because of this, Jobba Trade Technologies is sponsoring a multi-video CoffeeCast™ that helps contractors and other industry professionals learn how to better connect and serve their customers using technology. In this video, Heidi J. Ellsworth and Karol Weyman host Chris McMenamy of Statewide Roofing.
Chris has been a part of the roofing industry for over two decades now. At Statewide, they are a full-service commercial roofing contractor. Chris explained how they have directed their energy recently, saying, “Like many other roofers, we weren't historically always great at taking care of everybody's leaks and certainly not everybody's maintenance. And we've made a really concerted effort here in the last two years now to focus on that and we're starting to see the benefits of that.”
One thing Chris and Statewide have done to support this effort is implementing a new software solution. Chris elaborated, “When we started looking, we recognized that in order for us to scale and go where we wanted to be, that our existing processes just weren't going to cut it.” Those existing processes, manual emails, typing individual reports and so forth were then traded for Jobba’s roofing contractor software.
This was a game-changer for Statewide’s business. Chris touched on just one of the features that they love about Jobba, sharing, “The reporting function of Jobba was key. Whether they were roofing specific or service business specific platforms, the end product with the roof asset, with the aerial of the roof, the square footage was important because it gave us the ability to rate your roofs for capital planning and other things like that.”
Another thing Chris and his team really appreciated about adapting from their existing processes was the support they got from Jobba. He shared, “Jobba from day one provided all the training.” From one-on-one tutorials to conference call-style trainings, Jobba made sure that Statewide not only had the tools to succeed, but the knowledge to best use those tools.
