Hal Leland Re-Elected to Board of Directors of The CRRC

Western Colloid proudly announces that Hal will have a second term on the Cool Roof Rating Council. 

Hal Leland is a general manager at Western Colloid, based in Northern California and Pacific Rim areas, playing a key role in Western Colloid’s commitment to the industry. He was recently re-elected to the board of directors of the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC), for a second term. Before becoming a member of the board of directors Hal was on the CRRC technical committee. 

The Cool Roof Rating Council is a nonprofit organization that develops credible methods for evaluating the surface radiative properties (solar reflectance and thermal emittance) of roofing products as well as provides education to the public on how solar-reflective roofs improve building efficient, mitigate the Urban Heat Island effect and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 

On behalf of Western Colloid, Hal Leland lends his technical expertise as a subcommittee chair and voting member at ASTM, as co-chair of the Codes and Standards Task Force for the Roof Coatings Manufacturer Association (RCMA), and his position on the Board of Directors for the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC). Western Colloid is grateful for the time Hal spends on the industry’s behalf to help set the best standards for the roof coatings industry.
