The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) is excited to welcome professionals from all over the world to Phoenix, Arizona from March 8-11, 2024. This keystone event will have everything from networking banquets to educational classes to an incredible keynote speaker and even the presentation of honors like the New Excellence in Building in Closure Consulting Award! The trade show lasts two of those days and offers exhibits, demonstrations and even more networking opportunities. Wherever you are in your career, there’s something at the event for you!
Register before February 12 for early bird rates!
The convention’s keynote speaker, Nikki Greenberg, will open the convention on Saturday, March 9 with a talk about the future of building enclosures as technology shifts in the industry. Emerging tech such as generative artificial intelligence and nanomaterials mean that there is a new world of possibilities for professionals. Nikki’s career has taken her around the world with organizations such as Lendlease, QIC, Brown Harris Stevens, Koichi Takada Architects, and Greenland Australia. Through all her work, she focuses on preparing and helping transform organizations and businesses for the digital lives of people today. Her keynote address will explore what is shaping the industry and industry leaders can leverage the new technology and talent that are emerging in response.
IIBEC’s emphasis on education and learning is clear across the four days of the convention, with over 20 different educational programs available for attendees. This includes topics ranging from industry codes and standards to building enclosure commissioning (BECx) and so much more. All of these impressive speakers and interesting courses are designed for you and have the added bonus of fulfilling your annual continuing education hours (CEH) requirements!
Beyond education, another pillar of IIBEC’s mission is building community. Networking is key to success for individuals and growth as an industry. Among many events, there are facilitated meetings to connect with your regional peers and the two-day trade show to meet a wide variety of exhibitors and sponsors.
One highlight of the networking opportunities is the RCI-IIBEC Foundation Golf Tournament on Friday, March 8. Held at the Orange Tree Golf Resort, this tournament is a charity fundraiser to support student programs via the RCI-IIBEC Foundation and RCI Foundation Canada. This event specifically supports a variety of scholarships that have helped sponsor over 300 students to attend the IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show and IIBEC Building Enclosure Symposium.
Everyone is welcome to register for the tournament, which will be a four-person scramble with 120 players maximum. Please note, there is a $300 fee per golfer to cover costs for the course fee, the golf car, range balls, breakfast, lunch, drinks and beverage cart services. There will be cash prizes for the first and fifth place foursomes, longest drive men and women (front and back nine), and closest to pin (front and back nine).
