GAF only roofing manufacturer to receive top quality and service award from David Weekley

JULY - IndNews - GAF - GAF only roofing manufacturer to receive top quality and service award from David Weekley
August 3, 2018 at 12:03 p.m.

Country’s largest privately held builder evaluated 200 suppliers before awarding GAF.

Parsippany, New Jersey — For the ninth time, GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, has been recognized with the prestigious Partners of Choice Award from David Weekley Homes, the country’s largest privately held builder. The “A,A” designation, awarded to less than 10% of the 200 companies eligible, recognizes companies that provide outstanding levels of both quality and service, as determined by the results of the builder’s comprehensive National Trading Partner survey.

Now in its 15th year, David Weekley Homes has used its world-class Supplier Evaluation Platform to challenge their partners to provide the highest levels of quality products and superior service. Administered to 1,000 team members from all levels of the organization, the team members evaluate 200 David Weekley Homes suppliers. To date, GAF is the only roofing manufacturer to have ever received the coveted Partners of Choice Award.

“At GAF, quality and service are our top priorities,” said Brian Kimber, senior vice president of steep slope system sales at GAF. “Building the highest quality roofing products go hand in hand in helping to build durable long-term customer relationships “We thank David Weekley Homes for this honor, as well as for being a consistent advocate for improved quality and service in the home building industry.”

“Our evaluation process is long and arduous, and allows us to determine world-class performance across the many industries supporting the home building industry,” said Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services for David Weekley Homes, and the chief architect of the homebuilder’s acclaimed evaluation platform. “Though focused on the process, many of our partners have never received an award. Only a few companies win, and even fewer have won multiple times. Our friends at GAF through their actions have demonstrated that they not only understand the challenges of our industry, but are able to find solutions that continue to put them on top of over 200 companies in demonstrating their organization is truly world-class.”
