FRSA Sees Record Numbers at This Year’s Expo

FRSA Booth 2023 1
July 20, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

By Karen Edwards.

2023 was the biggest show in the history of the event.

The Florida Roofing Expo is always well attended but we’ve never seen the numbers that this year’s event drew in. FRSA Executive Director Lisa Pate shared with RCS Crew members Heidi J. Ellsworth and Karen Edwards in a live YouTube video that registration was through the roof!

A new Coffee Shop is born

At the start of the show, Sara Jones from APOC joined Heidi to announce the launch of the newest member of the Coffee Shop family: CoatingsCoffeeShop™! Sponsored by APOC, this new Coffee Shop delivers the same industry-leading content wholly focused on coatings while creating a unique online community for coatings professionals overall.

Live from the RCS Sound Stage

The Florida show is where the live streaming began in 2021 and the RCS Crew kept the tradition going on their sound stage, sponsored by SRS Distribution. If you couldn’t make it to the show, be sure to check out the playlist on the RCS YouTube channel. And don’t miss the live Coffee Conversations episode that brought together thought leaders from all areas of the industry to talk about what’s hot in Florida and the industry overall.

First day recap

At the end of the first day, the RCS crew sat down to recap. Tim Ellsworth was working at the booth all day and said it was a positive experience. “The feedback from the attendees that I spoke with was so positive. People thanked us for what we do and shared that they are on the site all the time. It was just a great day.”

RCS Multimedia Manager Megan Ellsworth was handling the sound stage and our interviews. They said, “Everyone doing an interview was super appreciative and excited to do it, even if they were nervous. And we had many people walk up and schedule an interview either for the following day or try to get squeezed in today.”

Heidi shared that the show had more hanging signs than she had ever seen and there were more booths and aisles than ever before. “People were busy. They were excited to be there. They were looking at the booths. I just felt like the FRSA team has done a great job growing the show. And it really showed this year with record numbers across the board.”

Karen agreed with Heidi on the busy-ness of the show saying, “I went out on the show floor I thought I could scoot in really quick and grab a photo of a booth and scoot back out. But it was so crowded. I couldn't even walk quickly down an aisle. I was trapped behind people shoulder to shoulder, and everyone was happy and excited to be there and very interested in what was going on and what they had to offer.”
