2024 truly has been a year for tech, as Melissa Megginson of Leap has observed. “I worked in tech my entire career, but this industry is really interested in investing more in technology now and they want everything to be integrated all in one place and have everything that they need with them,” she shared. She spoke to Lauren White and Karen Edwards at the 2024 International Roofing Expo about how Leap is responding to this rise in demand.
Melissa explained that Leap, which has traditionally run CRM services, also has payment systems. The first thing she highlighted was the Sales Pro financial integration app. She explained the basics of this program, saying, “In the app, it's really easy to go in, create an estimate, sign the contract and get financing.” This is accessible to homeowners as well, as Leap partners with 12 other groups to get financing, approvals and payment done in one convenient location.
Melissa then introduced their new payment processor for contractors, Leap Pay. She explained that it streamlines the key step of receiving payment within the Sales Pro system: “You can accept ACH payment, debit cards and credit cards. And then you can accept them in person or the customer can log into their portal or access their invoice through email." The other really powerful part of this system is that people can make partial payments towards the project. Melissa elaborated, “You don't have to collect all that payment at once. Not everyone has enough money to pay for a new roof in their pocket right now, so they can make this payment as you go.”
Both the Sales Pro app and the Leap Pay software integrate really well with the CRM side of Leap. Melissa explained briefly, “Contractors can insert Sales Pro into that early sales process. So, you get the lead in, you go into the home to complete the sale, and you can get that one call closed super easily with the CRM. Then you can build the estimate, you can show the proposal, get the contract signed, the financing, and then once all of that is done, you're ready to start the project.” Leap makes it so that everything a contractor could need to work with their client is in one place, anywhere they are.
