This innovative product is built to meet or exceed ASTM D 2824 Type III product standard specifications, guaranteeing that it meets the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. Its reflective properties help reduce roof degradation and extend the useful life of the roof, making it a smart choice for those looking to protect their property and investments for the long term.
UV ray reflection which slows down the corrosion of the roofing system.
Mac-300 uses very high-quality aluminum at a higher ratio per gallon compared to other brands. This is great for reflectivity
One gallon of MAC-300 can cover the same area as three to four gallons of standard coating.
To ensure optimal results when applying a coating, it's important to first make sure that all surfaces that will receive the coating are completely dry and free of any oil, dust or debris. If the roof surfaces are old and dry, an asphalt primer should be applied at a rate of one gallon per roof square (or 100ft.²). Additionally, any splits, cracks or irregularities on the surface should be repaired using PMA-2000™ and fiberglass mesh as needed.
For APP smooth membranes, asphalt emulsion, bitumen mastic and adhesives, it's important to allow for a cure time of 30-45 days before applying the coating. And for cold adhesive applied bituminous roof systems, it's necessary to wait 90 days before applying the coating.
There are a few important guidelines to keep in mind when applying coating. Firstly, it is important to avoid applying coating when the outside temperature is below 50°F (10°C). This temperature threshold should also be considered if rain, dew or temperatures below 50°F (10°C) are expected within 24 hours of the scheduled application. Secondly, it is crucial not to overwork the product during application, as this can result in an undesired darkening or bronzing of the coating. Finally, it is important to ensure that the material is mixed thoroughly before application. It is recommended to mix until the coating appears consistent, to ensure an even application.
