With four days of education, soar in 2024 with your annual continuing education hour requirements in one incredible event. From networking opportunities to engaging speakers, you’ll expand your knowledge about building enclosures.

The countdown to the 2024 International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) International Convention and Trade Show has begun, and anticipation is building for an event that promises to be a hallmark in the building enclosure industry. With a diverse range of educational sessions and networking opportunities, one of the highlights will undoubtedly be the presentations from industry leaders Patrick E. Reicher and Scott D. Wood leading up to the convention.

On Saturday, March 9, Patrick E. Reicher from Raths & Johnson Inc. will delve into the world of exposed concrete structures. In his presentation, “Reviving the Concrete Giants: The Role of Structures as Building Enclosures,” Patrick will emphasize the crucial connection between expertise in concrete and building enclosures for successful repairs.

Scott D. Wood from VaproShield, takes the stage on Monday, March 11, with a session called “Mass Timber Moisture Protection.” Wood’s expertise in mass timber construction, a booming market with a rich history dating back to 2000 B.C., will provide valuable insights into the laminated material’s construction and benefits. Attendees will gain knowledge on protecting mass timber materials from water damage, ensuring efficient construction and reduced environmental impact.

Both speakers are excited to reconnect with industry professionals and engage in discussions about the fundamentals of building sciences at the convention. In addition to countless educational sessions, the convention and trade show offers an auxiliary seminar on March 8, focusing on reroofing applications. With approvals for IIBEC continuing education hours, this seminar provides an opportunity to enhance participants’ understanding of reroofing terminology, methods and code compliance.

Don’t miss the booths of our RoofersCoffeeShop partners while you’re there! H.B. Fuller and GSSI Sealants will feature sealants for commercial and metal roofing. Polyglass is also a gold sponsor of the trade show. Platinum sponsors include Elevate, GAF, IB Roof Systems, Johns Manville, SOPREMA and Versico Roofing Systems

For a full schedule of events and detailed descriptions of the educational sessions, visit the official convention’s website and make sure to register today!
