Don't underestimate the power of a vision. McDonald's founder, Ray Kroc, pictured his empire long before it existed, and he saw how to get there. He invented the company motto - Quality, service, cleanliness and value' — and kept repeating it to employees for the rest of his life." - Kenneth Labich
As an EOS implementer, I facilitate and teach the tools and process of EOS with entrepreneurs and their leadership teams to help them get traction in their business. All of the work we do really boils down to strengthening three areas of the leadership team: vision, traction and healthy.
When I share that with clients I usually get the "so what does that even mean" look. Because this is coming up a lot — I thought l'd break these three down in a short series. Let's dive into vision first!
Intuitively, you probably get what vision means and you're thinking to yourself, "I know where I am taking this company". And as an entrepreneur, you are visionary... this is your creation. But an exercise we do to kick off the work strengthening leadership team vision that is pretty eye opening and incredibly incredibly powerful, almost always uncovers very different versions of the vision on the leadership team.
That may or may not be true of your organization — but if you're like most, it probably is. This is super important — if you're going to achieve your vision...you need your senior leaders (and everyone in the company) sharing the same vision and rowing in the same direction to get you there.
Laser focus on and in the vision — you will move mountains, you will get there.
