Elevating presentations in the roofing industry

Ingage Technology and Best Practices
February 1, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

By Jonny Suchor.

Learn how to redefine sales in the roofing industry with Ingage technology.

In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, host Heidi J. Ellsworth interviews Cody Carnes from Ingage to discuss home improvement and roofing sales, specifically focusing on in-home sales presentations and the use of technology.

Cody, who has been with Ingage for over a year explains how Ingage aims to revolutionize home improvement sales presentations. “In terms of Ingage, it’s simple. We are the leading presentation tool for the home improvement industry,” says Cody.

Cody discusses the importance of using the right technology and presentation strategies to stand out in the competitive home improvement market. Ingage replaces traditional tools like PowerPoint and brochures with interactive, visually appealing presentations. He talks about the trends in sales, emphasizing the need for new technology as a sales strategy post-COVID when in-home sales have become more challenging. “When COVID was around, it was easy to sell,” Cody explains. “People were legit just buying everything because they were always home.”

Ingage allows for customization and flexibility in presentations, catering to homeowners' specific needs and interests. By making presentations more engaging, Ingage has positively impacted sales reps' closing rates.

While at a conference, Cody had a sales rep come up to him, shake his hand and say, "I love your software so much. It's allowed me to be in the home, and once I'm done with a presentation, the homeowner's begging me to sign my contract and move forward." According to Cody, “By allowing them to just create a more visually appealing presentation in the home, we're seeing our customers see anywhere from a 3% to 10% lift in their close rates.”
