This year’s METALCON features exciting super session topics and keynote speakers — here's what to expect from the 2023 event!  

You won’t want to miss out on this year’s METALCON tradeshow! METALCON is the only tradeshow that is completely dedicated to showcasing the metal industry, metal construction and metal design. As the only one of its kind, METALCON is the best place to get a first look at the latest and greatest metal innovations on the market. This year, METALCON is coming to Las Vegas, Nevada, October 18-20 for a one-of-a-kind experience metal professionals won’t want to miss!  

Since 1991, METALCON has been the largest international tradeshow event in the metal construction industry, and this year will feature educational opportunities, interactive exhibits and inspirational speakers and super sessions.  

Keynote speakers  

The 2023 METALCON keynote speaker lineup consists of two metal professionals that have made a major impact on the industry – Rico León and Ken Simonson. Don’t miss Rico’s keynote presentation “HGTV’s Rico to the Rescue: Real Life Scenarios from Nightmares to Dreams Come True” on October 18 at 10 a.m. as he shares his experiences in the industry and incredible work seen on HGTV’s “Rico to the Rescue,” a show in which he hosts. Rico will present tips and tricks business owners can use to better their business practices and how to manage relationships with customers and partnering businesses.  

Another must-see presentation is Ken’s industry keynote presentation on the following day, October 19 at 10 a.m. Ken’s presentation “AGC of America's Ken Simonson: Construction Outlook for ‘24: Forbidding or Reason for Cheer?” will address questions many metal professionals have wondered about, such as the risk of recession and how it might impact the construction industry and how businesses can prepare for such an event in order to protect their investments and livelihood.  

Super sessions  

METALCON attendees are invited to take part in the free super session the morning of opening day, October 18 at 8:30 a.m. The super session, “Designing for Las Vegas: a Full House of Finishes for Allegiant Stadium to Enhance, Protect & Cool,” highlights the innovation and hard work that went into designing and building the Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium, home to the Raiders NFL team. Completed in 2021, the stadium cost nearly $2 billion to construct and is one of the most expensive sports stadiums ever built. Attendees can listen in as PPG’s Gary Edgar, manager of architectural specifications, industrial coatings, and Christopher Sotiropulos, vice president of stadium operations, share their experience bringing this impressive project to life.
