How much do you know about your Google Business Profile and are you leveraging this free resource appropriately to increase your online visibility? In a special RLW®, Karen Edwards sits down with Danny Braught from LMH Agency, an expert in maximizing your online presence and digital marketing, for a deep dive into how you can use your Google Business Profile to deliver the qualified leads your business wants. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to get better Google reviews, earn your company trust and credibility and boost your online reputation.
Danny is the CEO of LMH Agency, which started in 2014 and is a digital marketing agency that specializes in working with home service contractors. Karen pulled some numbers to help set the stage for the conversation and found that roughly 83.4% of people use Google as their main search engine. Danny tells us what the Google Business Profile is: “Google Business Profile is a free listing on Google for your business. It tells pretty much everything that somebody would want to know upfront about your business in one section without them having to do another click into your website. It is essentially part of the face of your brand that Google has put together.”
When it comes to helping a business build trust and credibility online, Danny says, “[Google Business Profile] is one of the best places to get reviews. And reviews are going to be one of the fastest ways to move yourself up in the rankings because that’s what customers want to look at... What are your newest reviews? What are your highest reviews? What are your lowest reviews?” People can even add photos and videos to their reviews, which helps ensure good reviews show up at the top.
Another critical component of this online profile is accurate information. Danny continues, “There’s something called your NAP. It’s your business name, address, phone number. You want to make sure that your company name, address and phone number are the same across your Google Business Profile to your website to all your other citation directories.” With everyone searching on their smartphones these days, this also gives potential customers easy access to reach you. At the touch of a button, they can look up directions, access your website or give you a call. Danny says Google can track all this information and it’s important to stay on top of it. “Make sure that you’re answering your phone calls. It can tell how many phone calls are missed, and then they’re going to push you down if you’re not actually answering your phone calls because Google’s primary objective is to give their customers the best experience possible.”
When it comes to your online presence, it’s a lot of information and it changes quickly. Read the transcript, Listen to the full podcast episode or Watch the webinar to ensure your business is being found by the right people who are looking for the home services you provide.
