Designed for contractors on the job

While at the 2024 International Roofing Expo (IRE), RoofersCoffeeShop® crew member Lauren White stopped by the Malco booth to talk to John Olson. John, who is Malco’s learning and product training manager, explained a highlight of the expo and trade shows in general, saying, “It’s really fun to get to interface with all these contractors and really get to see and hear their expressions when they see the new products.”  

At this year’s show, the products John was sharing with contractors were the seamer and MC12L cutter. By the show, both of these tools were freshly stocked and ready to ship. He offered a quick demo, showcasing how the MC12L quickly and cleanly makes long continuous cuts along with short bends. He explained how this adaptability is key in the field. “With this you don’t have to worry about switching between aviation snips and a pattern snip. It’s quick and easy to use, so a great option for the roofer.” 

John also showed off their rollers and line up discs, which allow for metal bending onsite. He explained, “We have one station tools and two station tools. You're going to roll them onto an edge and then you're just going to apply a little bit of upward pressure. You're going to easily be able to see they can go up to a 90-degree angle.” Another onsite tool that he had at the show was their CX saw tooth. This tool was designed for use and efficiency on actual job sites, again reemphasizing Malco’s goal to build quality tools that work for contractors in the field.
