DaVinci™ Roofscapes Showcases New Products and Booth Podcast at 2023 AIA Conference

DaVinci^™ Roofscapes, a division of Westlake Royal Building Products™, will showcase its newest single-width composite slate roofing tile in booth #6072 at the AIA Conference in San Francisco, June 7-10, 2023. Province™ Slate, a 12-inch tile with a fixed 8-inch exposure, evokes a historical nature with authentic natural slate appeal. The award-winning tile resists severe weather, fire, impact, insects, algae and fungus growth.

In addition to a variety of synthetic slate and shake products, DaVinci Roofscapes will also showcase Peter H. Miller, Hon AIA, and host of the podcast “Building Tradition” in the DaVinci booth during the AIA show.  On June 8 and 9 Miller will host his podcast at the DaVinci booth starting at 10 am. He will be speaking with industry experts about composite roofing and will also be joined by architects to discuss specifying synthetic roofing materials and other intriguing products on projects.

Show attendees are encouraged to visit the DaVinci booth to listen to the in-progress podcasts. While in the booth, attendees can discover DaVinci Roofscape's variety of composite slate and shake options.

• DaVinci Multi-Width Slate – For the most authentic-looking slate roof, without the weight or maintenance hassles, DaVinci Multi-Width Slate is the answer. The ½-inch tiles are available in 12-, 10-, 9-, 7- and 6-inch widths and can be installed at 6-, 7-, 7-1/2, and 8-inch exposures. Installation can be straight or staggered and, as with all DaVinci products, tiles arrive at the job site bundled and pre-sorted by color and size, eliminating sorting and guesswork by installers.
• DaVinci Single-Width Slate – Made of the same long-lasting materials as other DaVinci products, the DaVinci Single-Width Slate tiles are 12” wide with a half-inch thickness. Modeled from actual slate for natural, non-repeating beauty, the tiles can be installed in straight or staggered positioning at 6-, 7-, 7-1/2, and 8-inch exposure.
• Inspire™ Classic Slate - For the first time, DaVinci will display Inspire Classic Slate, a polypropylene base of product recently acquired by the company and Westlake Royal Building Products. Different than all other DaVinci products (which are injection molded and ½- inch to 5/8-inch thick), Inspire Slate solid tiles are compression-molded replicating natural slate, with a thin, ¼-inch profile, giving the appearance of a weather-worn slate. Lightweight yet durable, Inspire Classic Slate is Class 4 impact rated and 110 mph wind uplift rated. Backed by a 50-year Limited Lifetime Warranty, the tiles are available nationwide in 20 colors/color blends with Cool Roof options.
• DaVinci Multi-Width Shake – Duplicating the profiles of real cedar, DaVinci Multi-Width Shake composite tiles have the advantages of color stability and resistance to fading, rotting, cracking and pests. The 5/8-inch-thick tiles are available in 9-, 8-, 7-, 6-, and 4-inch widths to create a realistic, natural-looking cedar shake roof. Tiles can be installed at 9- or 10-inch exposure, showcasing the deep grooves and realistic grain patterns that combine to create dramatic shadows and visual richness. Select from nine distinct true-to-nature colors, including those in the Natural Crafted Collection. 
• DaVinci Select Shake – For the most realistic looking shake tiles imaginable, DaVinci Select Shakes capture the authentic look of real cedar. Taken from natural wood profiles, molds recreate 5/8-inch-thick traditional shake profiles with 8- and 10-inch widths. 10-inch pieces have a simulated keyway, giving the look of 4- and 6-inch shakes to create a multi-width appearance. Unique tile design allows for fast installation.

DaVinci Select Shakes are available in nine realistic cedar colors. The authentic-looking shakes also come in the Nature Crafted Collection of nature-inspired colors, including Aged Cedar, Black Oak and Mossy Cedar. Each color reflects different progressive aging processes found on real shake shingles. The Nature Crafted Collection captures the look of a moment in time and retains it for decades.

DaVinci Roofscapes - Features and Benefits

Made of virgin resin, DaVinci tiles resist splitting, cracking, curling and fading. Each tile has been crafted to resist high winds, mold, algae, fungus and insects. Available in dozens of colors and color blends, the DaVinci composite tiles come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. 

All DaVinci composite products are Class A fire and Class 4 impact rated. Products are certified to straight line winds up to 110 mph and hurricane high velocity winds up to 180 mph.
