CRCA Announces New Executive Director

Effective June 1, 2023 Jim Facette will be the new executive director of the Canadian Roofing Construction Association (CRCA).

On behalf of the CRCA board of directors, board president and chair Mr. Pierre Lafontaine is pleased to announce Mr. Jim Facette as the new CRCA executive director, effective June 1, 2023.

Mr. Lafontaine said, “Jim brings a great deal of association executive leadership to CRCA, he began his association career with the Canadian Construction Association (’95 – ’03). His broad experience will add value to CRCA members. We are looking forward to working with Jim as we write a new CRCA chapter.” Jim will work with the board of directors, members, and partners across Canada to develop and implement a new strategic plan as we grow the importance and influence of roofing contractors.

Jim has worked in the not-for-profit association space since 1995, leading government relations campaigns in construction, energy, and zoological industries. Jim comes to the CRCA via Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) association where he is the Executive Director and CEO.

Jim said, “It is an honor to be welcomed back to the ICI construction sector and, I am looking forward to growing the CRCA, working with CRCA members, partners and CRCA staff as we build on past successes. I look forward to meeting members and partners at the upcoming conference.”

The board of directors thank Mr. Bob Brunet for his 11 years of service to the CRCA, the board of directors, and the entire CRCA membership. We wish Bob and his wife Julie, all the best together in Bob’s retirement. Jim will join CRCA on May 15, 2023 and assume the Executive Director role on June 1 upon Bob’s retirement.
