The roofing industry sure has a big heart. Those of us lucky enough to work in the roofing industry know it. We’ve formed lifelong relationships with other roofing professionals from across the country. Every day we see news articles about contractors donating their services and time to make repairs or replace roofs of those in the community who are less fortunate. In fact, we highlight those stories in our Caught Doing Good section of the website.
One of our goals at RCS is to elevate the roofing industry, to instill a sense of respect in others for what we do. (If you don’t know about our Roofing Respect campaign, learn more here). We wanted to take it a step further and add this new Giving Back page that highlight companies that go above and beyond in their philanthropic efforts.
It’s fitting that Cotney Construction Law wanted to be the sponsor that allows us to bring this page to you as they are one of the most philanthropic companies in the industry. They donate in excess of $300,000 every year in pro bono services to industry associations throughout the country and support other charitable causes including mentoring programs for youth, Habitat for Humanity, the Humane society and veterans’ organizations.
Also highlighted on the Giving Back page are the efforts of SRS Distribution through its Raise the Roof Foundation that was established in 2012 to donate to the communities where they operate with a focus on disaster recovery and veteran’s initiatives. SRS explains that “as one of the largest roofing distributors in the United States, SRS Distribution takes our responsibility of being a good corporate citizen to heart. We are committed to leveraging our business expertise and resources to help those in need in the communities in which we operate and throughout the United States to help address our nation’s most pressing challenges.”
Charles Antis of Antis Roofing has taken his passion for giving to the next level, establishing the Antis Foundation with the mission to help keep families safe and dry. They share that they do this “with our expertise through roof maintenance, but also by supporting both local and national charitable organizations that contribute to the many demographics in the community.
