Contractors Can Take Pride in Their Work With Stormseal

Stormseal Contractors Take Pride in their Work
February 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

By Colin Sheehan, RCS Reporter.

How Stormseal helped Pegasus Roofing increase their profitability by 33%.

Stormseal is a heat-shrinking polymer film that is both lightweight and incredibly durable. Unlike tarps, Stormseal stays in place under all weather conditions until permanent roof repairs can be made. This award-winning product was created for emergency responders, government agencies, insurance companies, TPAs and roofing contractors. So far, Stormseal has protected thousands of damaged properties around the globe.

Pegasus Roofing owner, Andrew Whitehurst, has been utilizing Stormseal to protect storm-damaged structures for two years. He was first introduced to Stormseal after seeing it on a roof that had been damaged by a severe hailstorm. The house next door had a tarp, which soon blew off, but Stormseal stayed put.

“I was impressed,” Andrew told Stormseal. “So, I did my research, did the installer training and business took off.”

Since his company began using Stormseal, he’s seen a 33% increase in his business’ overall profitability, well worth the initial costs for installation training.

“The installer training takes a little bit of money and a couple of days off the job, but it’s a big opportunity to grow your business and get the rewards. You only need one licensed installer per crew. You can train more as your business grows.”

Large storms are happening more and more often, and Andrew has seen a rise in demand for Stormseal. Pegasus Roofing has had to contract an additional crew of four to try and keep up with the growing demand.

The company’s reputation has also heightened as a result of installing Stormseal polymer film to damaged roofs, and residents often ask Pegasus to quote for their permanent roof repairs as well.

“We get more leads and win more jobs because we’ve earned their trust, and they recommend us to others. I’d always prefer to use Stormseal than tarps, because I can take pride in my work and we get more work as a result.”

Aside from Stormseal’s trusted quality performance, Andrew also spoke of the product’s ability to provide emotional relief to distraught home and building owners.

“When we cover someone’s home or business with Stormseal, they relax and start smiling again,” said Andrew. “I feel good knowing we’ve made them feel safe and comfortable. They’ll have no more sleepless nights because Stormseal is quiet and totally weatherproof. That means I sleep better too, because I don’t get called in the middle of the night, or on a Sunday morning, to fix a flapping or leaking tarp!”
