Top October Stories: People, Projects and Technology

Here’s what’s trending on RoofersCoffeeShop® this past month.

RoofersCoffeeShop is about community. It’s the people who make up this community that we love to hear about and meet. That was pretty evident in looking at what the most popular articles were last month.

Leading the list was the story about Marco Industries who was recently featured in both Rural Builder and Metal Construction News. The article shares how Blake Atkins first became involved with the company and eventually became the owner. It also shares the stories of other employees such as Jill Porter who was Marco’s first office employee and today is a company Vice President. Other people stories in the top 10 include women in roofing and contractors sharing stories.

Technology is also of interest to RCS’ers with a new ventilation calculator app from CertainTeed coming in at the number 2 spot. Right behind that is a topic that we all need to be talking more about – the opioid epidemic. This article is a recap of a presentation that Trent Cotney of Cotney Construction Law gave to attendees at the recent NRCA Legal Resource Center Summit.

I decided to include the #6 – 10 spots again because, they were all so close to being in the top 5 and because they contain some pretty good information.
