Gutterman Services has a set a goal to raise $5,000 for Special Olympics at the Dulles Day, Plane Pull event.

Northern Virginia-based Gutterman Services supports many charities and Dulles Day/Plane Pull is one of their favorite, according to an email the company sent about the event.

The Special Olympics provides sports training and athletic competition in Olympic like sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. There are about 140,000 people in Virginia with intellectual disabilities. The goal of the Special Olympics is to provide opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience excitement to them all.

On Saturday, September 23rd Gutterman Services will be participating in the “It's Dulles Plane Pull Day,” a fundraiser that benefits the Special Olympics Virginia. Gutterman Services has been participating in this event for eight years. They invite friends and family to come out to Dulles Airport and support their team while we pull the 175,000- pound Fed Ex jet to raise money for this worthy cause.

Other Dulles Day activities include:

  • TWO planes being pulled - one from FedEx and the other from United Airlines
  • More than 40 current and vintage aircraft on display
  • Classic car show with about 50 cars and motorcycles
  • Airfield tours aboard the famous Dulles Mobile Lounges for $1 donation
  • Kids’ play area with bounce houses, truck pull and dunk-a-cop tank
  • Ride Airports Authority fire truck for $5 donation
  • Police K-9 demonstrations
  • Food & beverage for purchase

If you want to help them reach their goal, you can donate online.
