It’s a good idea to have your contractor inspect the roof before the adjuster arrives and ideally, have them meet each other on-site. This ensures that the contractor can point out any issues directly to the adjuster.

In the meantime, avoid making any temporary repairs until the adjuster has had a chance to assess the damage, as doing so could affect the claims process.
