Cold-weather Product Selector Guide Now Available

Tremco Cold-weather Product
December 6, 2019 at 6:00 a.m.

By Karen L. Edwards, RCS Editor.

Fight back against the cold weather with products that perform at just about any temperature.

Even though winter officially begins on December 21 each year, much of the country has already been seeing cooler temperatures and snow. However, advancements in manufacturing, new technologies and cold-weather formulations are allowing contractors to extend their roofing season into the cold, winter months.

Tremco Roofing recently published their Winter Product Guide, which provides an overview of their products that are designed to be installed in low temperatures – some as low as 29 degrees Fahrenheit below zero! Their cold-weather solutions can be used for restoration, renovation and replacements and include metal, cold- and hot-applied built-up and modified bitumen, single ply and fluid-applied systems.

The guide walks contractors through different products and shares why they are a good cold-weather choice. They also share considerations that contractors need to be aware of when using the product in the cold. A winter products comparison chart provides contractors with a convenient way to see the system types, the installation method, the minimum temperature requirements and whether special tools or equipment are needed.

Not only do these winter products keep contractors working longer, but they benefit their building owner customers as well. By being able to work on roofs throughout the winter, your customers will have fewer headaches in the spring when temperatures finally warm up.

Tremco Roofing also reminds contractors to always Lead with Safety and make sure that the roof conditions are safe before starting projects. The guide identifies some of the safety equipment that they have available to ensure the safest conditions.
