Checking in with the CIDAN Machinery Group Team at IRE 2023!

CIDAN representatives, Ryan and Chandler, discuss the brand’s latest products and what their booth at the convention featured!  

The RoofersCoffeeShop® team recently met up with Chandler Barden and Ryan King from CIDAN Machinery Group at the International Roofing Expo(IRE) to discuss the company’s latest product updates and new designs.   

CIDAN Machinery Group is a partner you can trust to create quality architectural and roofing sheet metals. Since 1907, the company has provided roofers across North America with standard folders, long folders, double folders, coil processing lines, recoiling lines, roll formers, metal storage and more. CIDAN is dedicated to manufacturing and delivering quality sheet metal products to their customers.  

At the 2023 International Roofing Expo, CIDAN showed off one of their newer products designed for roofing, the 10-foot Thalmann TD Double Folder, as well as some of their other product offerings. At booth 4912, the CIDAN team set up what seemed like a mini workshop, with their machinery and software product offerings ready to be demonstrated live from the convention floor.  

The expo gave contractors an up-close look at the machinery and an opportunity to ask questions about them and how they operate. The CIDAN team used this as an opportunity to educate them on just how easy using a fabricator is, but anyone can use them. Ryan explained, “So many people think it's this crazy big, long an investment in a gigantic amount of time and effort they put in, but it's really not that hard to get into fabricating your own pieces. So customers like that, we're really trying to not just show them our machines but educate that the entry into it when you're already have, say a successful roofing business, is a lot easier than a lot of people think.” 

With a short and simple learning curve, beginners can quickly learn to master the equipment to their advantage. From the machinery to the software that directs the machine itself, the CIDAN teams have worked hard to provide their customers with an approachable and user-friendly equipment system.
