METALCON attendees were offered an exclusive preview of their impressive Matterhorn® Metal Roofing collection and what contractors, architects and building owners will soon see in expanded markets nationwide.
Featured in the recent issue of DesignandBuildwithMetal.com, the story highlights CertainTeed’s architectural metal roofing line, which offers the classic looks of shake, slate and barrel tile in a form that is tough, lightweight and 100-percent recyclable, and available in more places that ever, much to the delight of CertainTeed Manager of Residential Product Marketing Dale Walton. “We’re really excited about what we have to offer this year,” said Walton in the run-up to METALCON. “Matterhorn is quickly gaining market share due to the fact that it is long-lasting, sustainable, and able to be utilized in a variety of settings, including residential, religious, and light-commercial buildings.”
The article goes on to say, “Matterhorn provides customers with the appearance of natural materials, but without the maintenance cost or the risk of algae, moss and wood rot. It also comes with a Class 4 impact resistance rating, a Class A fire rating, and can withstand winds up to 130 MPH—all of which can lower insurance premiums. Plus, at hundreds of pounds less per panel than materials like clay and stone, metal roofing is easier to transport and requires less structural roof support.”
“Americans spend $22 billion a year on air conditioning, mostly to cool their homes during the hotter months,” said Walton. “Matterhorn Metal Roofing comes in colors that can reflect solar radiant heat, lowering surface roof temperatures by as much as 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit and leading to significant energy savings over time. It is a great option for consumers seeking to reduce their carbon footprint and their AC bill.”
CertainTeed had their products on display in a spacious 20×20 booth in the METALCON Exhibit Hall at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, last month. It was their second year exhibiting with METALCON and have already signed to be at METALCON 2019 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 16-18, 2019.
