Backed by 40 years of experience in the industry, Elevate™ has stood the test of time as an industry leader by building smart, safe and sustainable solutions for customers. One of the ways that they do this is through close, trusted partnerships with contractors. One such contractor, Michigan-based Bloom Roofing, has been announced as a new member of Elevate’s Hall of Fame!
Bloom Roofing began with Tom Bloom in 1979. He explained, “I answered an ad in the paper to be a roofing helper and that's how I became a roofer.” Tom remains Bloom Roofing’s CEO to this day and recalled the moment he decided he was going to focus on low-slope roofing, “I had contracted out some little porches, flat roofing. I hired a guy to put some modified roofs on these porches and they were so poorly done that I tore them off and redid them myself and I was hooked on low slope roofing at that point.”
He and Bloom Roofing’s partnership began in 1984. Tom had been in business for five years at that point, but other manufacturers weren’t willing to work with what was then a small company. Elevate recognized the dedication of Tom and his team and the decades-long partnership was born.
The dedication that Elevate recognized continues to this day. Kris Orton, the service manager at Bloom Roofing explained, “The best part of Tom is just his desire to be the best, he has no desire to have a company that's large and doesn't commit to customer service.” Dan Bloom, their president, spoke to how well Bloom Roofing’s goals align with Elevate’s products, “Elevate has a lot of different options for materials which allows you to tailor the roof for what say the customer needs, because it's not always EPDM, it's not always PVC, it's not always TPO and Elevate has all those options modified to provide the customer what's right for their building.”
