Why MFG Day matters
MFG Day’s purpose is to show what a modern manufacturing career looks like. Thousands of companies and educational institutions are encouraged on this day to open the door to manufacturing for students, parents, teachers and community leaders. MFG Day seeks to bring people into the rewarding careers offered in manufacturing as well as to bring current manufacturers together to address shared challenges and create community-driven solutions that aid in the collective future of the industry.
The Manufacturing Institute, with the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association as a founding partner, created MFG Day with the above initiatives in mind. Through skills training programs, the Institute drives the betterment of careers and the advancement of the manufacturing industry itself. Their commitment to diverse initiatives that support women in the workforce, veterans, students and all workers through varying skills training programs is why the manufacturing world continues to grow in numbers today. The Manufacturing Institute is the workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers and acts as a trusted adviser to manufacturers, equipping them with the necessary resources to help solve the industry’s hardest challenges.
