Building bridges to transform organizational culture

Glo Building bridges to transform organizational culture
August 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.

By Jesse Sanchez.

A fresh approach to fostering communication and efficiency.

In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, host Heidi J. Ellsworth discusses the intricacies of organizational health and brand engagement with guests Monica Vornbrock and Melissa Chapman, co-founders of The GLO Group. This episode promises to be a revelation for anyone interested in the dynamics of workplace culture and the roofing industry.

The conversation began with an introduction to Monica and Melissa, who share a passion for transforming how businesses operate internally. “We work with organizations to help them identify what is causing some misalignment within their organization and preventing them from really performing at their best,” says Melissa. The GLO Group specializes in pinpointing internal communication issues that often undermine efficiency and morale.

One of the recurring themes in their discussion is the disconnect between different departments within companies, particularly in the roofing industry. Monica explains, “All these initiatives were implemented, all these marketing efforts were put forward...but the team internally wasn’t communicating.” This lack of communication often leads to missed opportunities and inconsistent customer experiences.

Melissa elaborates on the impact of these communication breakdowns, noting, “You’ve got the field and then you’ve got the office. So right there in itself, you’ve got different priorities and different agendas.” She emphasizes that this misalignment creates frustration and inefficiencies, as different parts of the organization fail to work together seamlessly.

To address these issues, The GLO Group employs a variety of tools and workshops aimed at fostering better communication and collaboration. “We bring in everybody together in person...we bring tools to help them through team development activities,” Monica says. These sessions are designed to create a safe space for employees to voice concerns and work towards collective solutions.
