Bringing Integrity Back to Storm Restoration

SRC Summit Podcast with April Hall
December 5, 2022 at 3:00 a.m.

By Cass Jacoby.

Learn about how the Storm Restoration Summit has been designed to educate contractors so that we can elevate the industry as a whole.

In a new Roofing Road Trips episode, Heidi J. Ellsworth sits with President of Storm Consultants, LLC and the SRC Summit founder April Hall.  The SRC Summit is the number one storm restoration summit, bringing together contractors from all over the U.S. for three days of learning, networking, relationship building and fun. This year’s summit will take place January 29 – February 1 at the Embassy Suites in Denton, Texas.

“There hadn't really been a conference designed for the industry yet around storm restoration, hail, wind, hurricane stuff,” says April. “So, in 2013 I said, "Hey, we need to have a conference for this industry.’”

April has been helping storm restoration contractors succeed through live events since 2011.  As a two-time bestselling author, April has been committed to bringing the highest level of integrity and education to the roofing restoration market with the SRC Summit and continuing education.

April tells Heidi that she was inspired to bring this Summit to the market due to a lack of training. “My whole goal was to bring integrity back to the industry by showing them how to have longevity in the industry but by doing these jobs right,” says April.  “Education, and going to events, and being part of the community online is very important if you want to have longevity in the industry, especially doing it the right way.”

This summit is designed to give contractors networking opportunities, access to experts within the field, cutting-edge information and best practices. This event brings a new level of professionalism to the storm restoration industry by educating contractors focused on insurance claims on how to grow profits and implement sustainable business processes.

“I'm really big on bringing education to the industry and bringing everybody together in a safe place where they can network and get to meet, and grow, and know each other,” says April. “It's in January, it's the first big event of the year, so it's really there to set your year up for success. Get that first quarter role in, meet the people that you need to meet, gain the knowledge that you need to gain, and implement. It's the beginning of the year, it's a brand-new horizon to start 2023 outright so that's one reason to get there.”
