In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Karen Edwards sat down with Owens Corning’s Jon Gardner and Roofle’s Chris Morris and Travis Harvego to talk about their recent partnership! This collaboration gives Owens Corning Contractor Network members exclusive access to a special, powerful version of RoofQuote Pro software. Travis briefly covered what this software can do, “It's all about accurate online quoting. So what happens is that we give the contractor an embeddable widget that they install onto their website. Then, they take the software, put it on their website, add their products in and put their pricing in.” From there, homeowners can enter the contractor’s website and use the interactive software to shop from the offered products and see the price real-time.
In today’s digital world, this ability to better serve customers online can set contractors apart from their competition. Chris explained, “We're not creating consumer demand; we're harnessing it. So many folks are buying homes, cars, VRBOs and more online. We're even seeing some medical folks go there for routine checkups. What this technology does is allow contractors to do the same thing.” This not only makes a more accessible space for online customers, but it allows contractors to create personalized sales experiences more efficiently. Chris shared one way you can do this, “One of the most important things that we've built for the RoofQuote Pro in this calendar year is the ability to set price ranges. Once this is all programmatically set up, the consumer goes in, puts their address and they are returned exactly what the contractor wants them to see.”
Being able to access this incredible tool is a great opportunity for Owens Corning Contractor Network members. Jon explained, “When we look at the various areas, the disciplines of the business where contractors have said they need the most help, it’s always brand recognition and lead generation...So what better place to really ignite that than at that contractor's website where we begin to help them build a better brand and build that brand presence, and bring this information to the customer?” And this program has proven itself to be a help with that, Chris added, “We're seeing double-digit higher or two times higher conversion rates at the kitchen table because of this program.”
