Boost your roofing business with these business profile tips

LMH Boost your roofing business with these business profile tips
September 19, 2024 at 12:00 a.m.

By Jesse Sanchez.

Discover the key to growing your roofing business online with simple Google Business Profile strategies.

In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, host Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Danny Braught from LMH Agency to discuss the importance of a company’s Google Business Profile (GBP) for contractors. As Danny explains, many contractors struggle with their online presence, and optimizing their GBP is often an overlooked but critical step. His insights reveal why having an up-to-date and well-managed Google Business Profile can be a game changer for roofing businesses.

Danny shares several common mistakes contractors make with their GBP, such as neglecting to update their business hours, not adding photos and failing to engage customers for reviews. He notes, “The fastest way for you to get more business for free is through Google Business Profile,” expressing the platform’s power to connect businesses with local customers who are actively searching for services.

One of the standout points Danny makes is the value of location and reviews in boosting GBP performance. “Even if you only have one location, you can go to a Regus [office space] or some other area and get yourself another office for $125 a month,” he suggests, explaining that this strategy helps businesses appear in searches within that specific area, increasing leads and leading to higher visibility.

Danny also discusses the evolving verification process for GBP, which now includes a video verification option where business owners must show their premises, including signage and key business materials, to prove legitimacy. This shift from the old postcard verification method helps Google ensure authenticity and accuracy in business listings.

“Even if you don't have a website, make sure that you sign up for a Google Business Profile,” Danny encourages. With a few simple steps, roofing contractors can take control of their digital presence and start reaping the benefits of increased visibility and customer engagement.
