Benefits are an Investment in Your Employees

RCS Influencer Trent Cotney says that companies that offer great benefits attract and retain more top talent.

When starting the firm back in 2012 and considering benefits to offer to employees, health insurance was at the top of my list. Health insurance tends to be a major factor in decision making when candidates are evaluating job offers, so I made sure that was something we offered from the get-go.

We obtained health insurance through a broker, who we work with on much of our benefits package including HSA, vision, dental, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance. Each year before open enrollment, we ask the broker to come to our office to explain the various benefit options that our employees can choose from and answer any questions they may have. Our HR department also assist in navigating deadlines, handling documentation, and setting up new employees throughout the year.

Having health insurance benefits is a huge perk for not only our employees, but also our business. By offering a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, it also makes our firm more competitive on the job market. We know that companies that offer great benefits attract and retain more top talent. Health insurance can also give your business a tax advantage.

Most importantly, providing health insurance allows us to invest in our employees. Our employees are the foundation of our firm, and we believe in building a workplace where our people feel valued. Studies have shown that great health insurance benefits contribute to overall satisfaction, productivity, and attendance. Providing our employees with great health insurance help keep them engaged and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
