Easing the paperwork burden for contractors

The Avalon Bothell Commons in Washington is the next big residential and mixed-use community with more than 675 apartments, 70 townhomes and one club building with a fitness center and pool. As the roofing contractor, Chinook Building Envelope Services needed a manufacturer that accommodated the large scope of the project and its different designs efficiently and effectively.

Along with the frequent weather challenges in the Pacific Northwest, the large project required multiple mobilizations for a year and half in its first phase due to its extensive scope of work. Given the amount of coordination needed to ensure smooth operations, AvalonBay Communities, the developer, needed comprehensive warranty coverage on its products to make things as efficient and simple as possible. 

Taking advantage of GAF’s Silver Pledge Limited Warranty that covers the various GAF steep-slope products used in the roofing system, Chinook helped to create a single, comprehensive system for AvalonBay Communities – streamlining the process for any future roofing needs.
