Host Heidi J. Ellsworth met with Danny Braught from Lokal Media House (LMH) to discuss what their seven-day, GBP course can do for your business in an episode of Roofing Road Trips®. Danny and LMH have developed this course in response to the questions they were receiving about Google Business Profiles. This is the information that first appears on Google’s sidebars when you search a business name. Danny explained, “There's certain factors within the Google Business Profile that you can do as a business owner yourself without having to have an agent work with you. We came up with this to give people somewhere they can start.”
This jump start is the seven-day course. It is conducted over email and completely free to anyone who wants to learn more. Danny explained the details, saying “It's seven emails to break it down into bite-sized chunks to make it easy, so you can just take 15, 20 minutes out of your day and spend it on that because we know that you're busy running your business.”
Each day the email suggests a different task to help business owners leverage their Google Business Profile. Danny provided some examples of these tasks: “[Everything] from making sure that your account is verified to having the correct service category selected to making sure that you're uploading your images correctly to the way that you're asking for reviews from customers.”
This course focuses on helping fill the knowledge gaps for business owners that lead to common missed opportunities such as a profile that lacks photos or doesn’t have updated hours. Danny emphasized the importance of this for businesses with all levels of digital presence. He sees this as a first step to growing your digital presence, explaining, “Even if you don't have a website, make sure that you sign up for a Google Business Profile.”
