When the dawn breaks over Lakeside, Montana, and the waters start to ripple with promise, you know it's going to be an unforgettable day. The Montana Roofing Association's 3rd Annual Fishing Trip was no exception, bringing together industry professionals for a day of camaraderie, competition and sheer enjoyment. As busy roofing seasons stretch everyone's limits, this event provided a much-needed respite, allowing participants to unwind, connect and recharge amidst the stunning backdrop of Montana's natural beauty.
We had a wonderful time out on the water, catching some impressive lake trout. With many of us in the height of our busy season for roofing in Montana, burning the candle at both ends, it was important to take a little time to slow down, connect with our peers and friends in the industry, and recharge before getting back at it.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the MRA and attend the fishing trip this year:
We started our day bright and early, getting out on the water by 6:30 a.m. and wrapping up around 12:30 p.m. The highlight was Ryan June's impressive 36-inch lake trout, which won the "Catch of the Day" award, although it was a team effort to get it into the boat!
After our morning on the lake, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Tamarack Brewing Company. To cap off the day, we headed to Flathead Lake Alpine Coaster. It was an exhilarating experience, reaching speeds of up to 27 miles per hour as we descended the mountain.
The trip was a great opportunity to connect with other roofing contractors and vendors, share stories and enjoy some quality time together. We're already looking forward to next year's trip!
Huge thank you to Jake Magalsky for organizing the event! And thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this trip memorable.
Don't forget, our next event is the MRA Annual Golf Tournament happening at Old Works in Anaconda on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this trip memorable. We hope to see you at our upcoming events!
