Project Manager – New Construction Residential/ Commercial Steep Slope

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide and/or coordinate full Operations services on small to large, complex work and all types of Residential Steep and Low slope Roofing contracts. Provide overall management direction for the planning, execution and closing of multiple projects at any one point in time.

TYPICAL DUTIES: Project Management

• Plan, organize and schedule the activities of Allcon Roofing’s Residential roofing department and its subcontractors to achieve project objectives. • Liaison with Warehouse management, Production management, General Contractor’s and building owners to facilitate material supplies and construction activities. • Monitor/control Production to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures. • Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc. • Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, material and labor, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Clients. • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives. • Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, etc. • Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required. • Maintain official project log (Construction Management Software) and documentation files. • Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs. • Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required. • Contract review to understand project requirements and constraints. • Develop and send out bid requests to Engineers, Subcontractors, Vendors, evaluating the responses to award contracts based on price, value, experience, customer service, etc. • Review Engineering drawings to ensure proper system design to meet customer’s needs and deliverables of contact. • Facilitate weekly project meetings and track actions items. • Risk Planning and mitigation throughout project lifecycle. Once the Above-mentioned Operational Objectives are achieved, and the department can demonstrate its ability to take on new business – The following responsibilities/ opportunities can be explored: • Take ownership of sales opportunities, nurture leads, and overall create a larger reach through networking, referrals, and creating connections. Deliver presentations and customized proposals to Prospective clients. • Educate existing and new clients to Allcon Roofing’s services, quality of work, and experience level. • Build new and maintain existing client relationships Job Requirements Position Requirements: • At least 2-3 years’ Supervisory/ Project Management experience in New Construction Steep slope roofing – Shingles a must - Slate, shake and Metal roofing experience an advantage. • High School Diploma, technical diploma preferred. • Proven understanding and deliverance of total customer Centric qualities. (The ability to provide Impeccable Customer Service is an absolute, non-negotiable requirement) • High level of problem-solving ability, with a strong emphasis on managing difficult customers • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Superior communication and time management skills • Working knowledge of mechanical drawings, with the ability to read specifications and plans. • Ability to handle a variety of duties with minimal supervision.
