What’s the job?

**The Territory for the role is the Upper Rockies Region **

The primary function of this position is to generate profitable sales volume of the CertainTeed RISE and Specialty Cladding Products Portfolio. The position requires significant collaboration with the larger EPS organization to support RISE as a new product in the market.

Incumbents in the position will be assigned a specific geographic sales territory in which they will be considered the technical sales specialist in positioning and selling the CertainTeed RISE and Specialty Cladding Products Portfolio. The territory will overlap with CT EPS Roofing and Siding territory manager(s) and the incumbent will work in conjunction with this team to promote the combined exterior products portfolio.

Sales will be applied to both sales territories in the shared geographic area and teamwork will be critical to success. This position will report directly to the Director Sales RISE but work closely and in a coordinated fashion with the EPS Regional VPs, Regional Managers, Territory salespeople and Key Account Managers with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Regional Manager in their geographic area.

In addition, this position will be responsible for working closely with the Siding Products Group product managers as well as R&D, SG Building Science Team and supply chain personnel including customer service.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Getting trial with builders and re-siders who are first time users.
Manage and Train channel partners (one step or other retailer of RISE products)
Lead the CertainTeed EPS Salesforce engagement to support RISE and complimentary products and associated customers. This may include joint calls, internal training sessions, plant tours, customer events and similar cooperative initiatives with the EPS team.
Manage infrastructure and framework to help define market strategy

What do you bring?

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, marketing, business or similar discipline OR Comparable experience in lieu of a degree
Five (5) years of equivalent training and experience that provides thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations and practices concerned with the field of construction .
5-7 years’ selling value added products in a construction related field
Solid understanding of 1 Step, lumberyard and 2 Step distribution channel.
Construction industry experience desirable.
Able to identify decision makers, evaluators, and influencers in the buying process. Continually utilize network and various information sources (web, third party data, etc.) to identify accounts, projects, events, etc.
Ability to influence without authority the internal project members and stakeholders. Must be able to articulate the business value and benefits across the CT Exterior Products business units and to various levels within the organization.
Strong team orientation with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Demonstrate accountability to team members.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects with multiple streams of data from contacts, channel partners, projects, and business units.
Possess good problem solving skills and the ability to discuss business issues and propose appropriate product solutions.
Known for sales orientation, comfortable with cold calling and ability to fill the pipeline with opportunities.
Strong presentation skills.
