I have looked at many programs and the "roofing software" doesn't impress me. I am leaning more towards Service AutoPilot, Service CEO, dataForma, Aptora Total Office Manager, etc. Any insight?

If you're running a roofing company, I'd recommend giving AccuLynx a try. It's pretty popular and has everything from keeping track of jobs to helping you with estimates. Another good one is JobNimbus. It's easy to use and great for keeping everything organized. Plus, both of these can work with other tools you might already be using, which is super handy.
Probably the best software for roofing I came across, came packaged with its own sensing and mobility accessories. The negative was that it required regular paper input and periodic infusions of caffeine. ;)
Acculynx also integrates with EagleView reports and HailWatch so if you use either of those services, you can have a turn key system to manage your customers and storms.
I use acculynx ... get you a free months trial at www.acculynx.com I love it..get my eagle views on xlm file and download and cross references everything. also compatable with qb's. all kinds of good stuff and easy to use.
We recently started using Salesforce. So far, I'm not impressed but I don't have enough time with it to properly comment.
Is an estimating program in your sights?
