Veteran's Day just doesn't get the coverage of Memorial Day. So many places celebrate the living and forget the dead, but soldiers, it seems, remember the fallen, and turn away from the credit they deserve.
Any man that didn't come home, could have just as easily been you. Thank you for putting yourself at risk for all that I and my family have been blessed to enjoy in this freedom we have. Whether it was for the good ol' US of A, or defending the rights of those in a country you have no ties to, your committment to the ideals of freedom that were first brought forth to this world almost 250 years ago, and the idea that "All men..." did not mean "All men born in this Country...", is something many of us deeply appreciate.
Thank you. I hope you have a great day.
Thank you, Mike... very eloquent!

With all the controversy surrounding wars, I think it's as important as ever to say thanks. Some American's have the nerve to spit on them, not truly grasping that it's the leaders making most of the mistakes.
The vets around here get a paid day off or double time if they want to work. We have 2 vets right now. One of them is my Dad, a former Marine. I don't think he'd take the day off if Miss America promised to serve him coffee in her swimsuit all day long.
