Since COVID has changed the way we operate our business both administratively and operationally in the field, what new technology of process have you implemented?
Since COVID-19 has impacted the way we conduct our business, we have implemented various technologies and processes to adapt to the new normal. One of the key tools we have embraced is a rangefinder, which has proven to be indispensable in ensuring efficient and safe operations. By leveraging the rangefinder's ability to accurately measure distances and assess job sites remotely, we have significantly reduced the need for physical site visits, thereby minimizing exposure risk for our team members. Moreover, we have adopted virtual meeting software to enable seamless remote collaboration and communication among our teams, as well as digital documentation systems to ensure effortless access to project information and records. These advancements have helped us navigate the pandemic, streamlined our operations, and improved overall efficiency.
We are seeing more interesting trends with technology for roofers coming in 2021. Will have some more updates on exact types soon.
We have been using more technology for both communications inside our organizations as well as with our customers. I expect that this will become more of the norm in the future.
Excellent thoughts and information. Analytics and constant improvement towards operational efficiency are a must for our Industry and the Company itself.
We are starting to see higher demands coming in from our clients for more technology integrating into their Roofing Businesses.
While I wouldn't say it's new, I can say our technology stack has been helpful. We can do virtual meetings, digital takeoff, emailed invoices, etc. Aside from required masks, gloves, etc., our biggest change has been chatting with customers from a distance in the driveway rather than the kitchen table. Luckily our mobile office has all the samples and materials we need to make that easy, too.
Best wishes, all!
