Has anyone figured out the best way to unstick these new super contact cement shingles?

I have a 1 year old GAF Timberline where the slap happy installers reused the 32 year old skylight flashings.

I am replacing two plastic skylights with new Velux and flashing kits.

Natty, I've ran across a couple that I couldn't get apart no how/no way. On those I told the home owner that the only way I would touch it is to redo the whole side where the problem was located. But these were less than 1%. Probably less than point one percent.

Nope.  GAF and most manufacturers have gone with this contact cement.  I don't care how cold, they will not come apart.

I was thinking of trying a hot air blower, but that is going to take forever.  A torch would damage the shingles.

The newer ones, you have to get on the job before the sun sticks them together while they are still in the shade and cold. Some of the older ones are just the opposite having to warm up, then you can pull them apart slowly.
